On August 16, 2014, LaDontae was with friends as he was driving a Chevy Impala in the area of 37th and Bedford Avenue. A vehicle pulled up next to LaDontae’s vehicle and fired several shots into the vehicle. At 2:22 a.m, Omaha Police were dispatched to the scene. Officers located several victims and transported them to a local hospital. LaDontae died from his injuries.
