On April 26, 2010, Devon was walking in the area of North 24th Street when a suspect pulled up in a vehicle and fired several shots at Devon. At 9:58 p.m, Omaha Police were dispatched to the area regarding a shooting. Officers located Devon suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Devon was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.
